Using Windows Media Player

You can play audio, video, and mixed-media files using Windows Media Player. You can perform tasks such as viewing live news updates on the Internet, playing clips from a movie, or viewing a music video on a Web site.

Open Windows Media Player.

Notes

To open Windows Media Player, click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to Entertainment, and then click Windows Media Player.
To use Windows Media Player to play audio files, you need a sound card and speakers.
